About us

Seastheday TZ is a local Tanzanian company that specializes in Water sports & Marine adventures. We aspire for tourists & local communities to embrace Dar es Salaam coastlines, its history and marine life. We do this by offering boat tours in and across the Msasani Bay Area.  With us guests have the opportunity to go on boat tours, yacht rentals, snorkeling, fishing, kayaking and more.

The Role

We are looking for an ambitious and energetic Business Development Specialist to help us expand our clientele. You will be the front of the company and will have the dedication to create and apply an effective sales strategy. Ideal candidate is a motivated, organized, and creative individual who welcomes the challenges of acquiring and developing new business through sales efforts. You will build key customer relationships, identify business opportunities, and close business deals while maintaining an extensive knowledge of current market conditions.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Cultivate strong business relationships with key decision makers
  • Proactively identify new opportunities and deliver innovative solutions to customers
  • Develop market strategies by researching lists of high potential prospects
  • Developing growth strategies and plans
  • Managing and retaining relationships with existing clients
  • Increasing client base
  • Having an in-depth knowledge of business products and value proposition
  • Writing business proposals
  • Negotiating with stakeholders
  • Identifying and mapping business strengths and customer needs
  • Researching business opportunities and viable income streams
  • Following industry trends locally and internationally
  • Drafting and reviewing contracts
  • Reporting on successes and areas needing improvements

Competency and Skill Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Business/Marketing
  • Proven 2+ years  working experience as a BD/sales executive or a relevant role in the hospitality industry. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills (English & Swahili)
  • Proven sales track record, experience in customer support is a plus
  • Proficiency in MS Office and CRM software (e.g. Salesforce)
  • Communication and negotiation skills (Ability to build rapport)
