Admission Requirements for Undergraduate Degree Programmes
Bachelor of Science in Information Technology and Systems.
Direct entry Requirements
At least two principal level passes at A-Level. If none of those two principal passes is in Advanced Mathematics, then applicant must have a subsidiary in Basic Applied Mathematics at A-Level and a credit in Basic Mathematics at O-Level.Minimum admission points: 4.5b)
Equivalent Entry Requirements
At least a 3.0 GPA Diploma in Computing Science or related field from an accredited institution.ORFull Technician Certificate (FTC) in Computer Science with at least an average score C and at least a credit of Basic Mathematics at ‘O’ Level
Bachelor of Accounting and Finance – Business Sector.
Direct entry Requirements
At least two (2) principal passes and one subsidiary pass at A-Level. Where the subjects passed do not include Mathematics, Economics, Accountancy or Commerce, an applicant must have obtained a credit pass in Mathematics or Commerce or Book-Keeping at O-Level.Minimum admission points: 4.5
Equivalent Entry Requirements: At least an average of ‘B’ or 3.0 GPA Diploma in Accountancy; Banking and Finance; or Economics from an accredited institution.
Bachelor of Law.
Entry Requirements) Direct entryAt least two principal level passes one must be English Language and one subsidiary level pass in ‘A’ level. Bachelor of Education in Commerce and Accountancy.
Admission Requirements
a) Direct Entry Qualification
(i) At least two (2) principal level passes and one subsidiary in the Advanced Certificate of Secondary Education (ACSE).
(ii) The two principal passes must include Advanced Mathematics or Accounting or Commerce.
Where the principal passes do not include those subjects, the applicant must have obtained a credit pass in Basic Mathematics or Commerce or Book-keeping in their certificate of secondary education (O-level).

Admission Requirements
a) Direct Entry Qualification
(i) At least two (2) principal level passes and one subsidiary in the Advanced Certificate of Secondary Education (ACSE). One of the two principal passes must be either in Mathematics or Economics.
OR
(ii) A subsidiary in Basic Applied Mathematics or Economics with any two principal passes. Where the subjects passed do not include Mathematics or Economics, an applicant must have obtained a credit pass in Basic Mathematics at Certificates of Secondary Education (“O” Level).
Where the principal passes do not include those subjects, the applicant must have obtained a credit pass in Basic Mathematics or Commerce or Book-keeping in their certificate of secondary education (O-level).
(b) Equivalent Entry Qualification
- Applicants must be holders in Diploma in Education with an average of “B” and above from an accredited higher learning/teachers training college.

Admission Requirements
a) Direct Entry Qualification
At least two (2) principal level passes and one subsidiary in the Advanced Certificate of Secondary Education Examination (ACSEE) either in English language and Kiswahili. Where the subjects passed do not include English and Kiswahili, an applicant must have obtained a credit pass in English Language and Kiswahili in the Ordinary Certificate of Secondary Education (“O” Level).
(b) Equivalent Entry Qualification
The applicants must be holders of a Diploma in Education with average ‘B’ and above from accredited higher learning/teachers training college. A candidate must have English and Kiswahili as teaching subjects.
Bachelor of Science (Economics) – Population and Development.
Admission Requirements
a) Direct Entry Qualification
At least two (2) principal level passes and one subsidiary in the Advanced Certificate of Secondary Education (ACSE). One of the two principal passes must be either in Mathematics or Economics. Two (2) principal level passes and one subsidiary level at the ‘A’ level. Where the principal passes do not include English, the applicants must have obtained at least a credit in English Language at ‘O’ level.
Minimum admission points: 4.5
Equivalent entry qualifications
- At least a 3.0 GPA Diploma in Human Resources Management, Public Administration, Social work, Business Administration or Local Governance Management diploma in Records and Archives, Diploma in Community Development, Diploma in Management and Secretarial Services from a recognised and accredited institution.

Admission Requirements
a) Direct entry qualifications

Postgraduate Entry Requirements
- A candidate seeking admission into our Master’s degree shall hold at least a second class Bachelor’s degree from a recognized institution of higher learning or a upper second class advanced Diploma or equivalent qualifications obtained in at least three (3) years of study or a professional qualification such as ACCA, CPA (T), MD, CSP, MCIPS, or their equivalent from recognized professional bodies or institutions.
- Applicants with PASS (i.e those who obtained third class in the first degree) will also be considered upon producing evidence of having obtained an examined Postgraduate Diploma or professional qualification (in a relevant field of study).
- A candidate who holds an unclassified or foreign degree (degree obtained outside Tanzania) should have an average credit of “B” or above and have his/her academic qualifications certified/validated by the Tanzania Commission for Universities (TCU).
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS FOR SPECIFIC PROGRAMMES
- Applicants for MSc. (A & F) must possess a solid accounting background and must have completed courses in Financial Accounting, Management Accounting, Financial Management, Auditing and Assurance and Quantitative Methods at Bachelor’s degree level.
- Applicants for MSc. MM must have studied marketing related subjects at bachelor’s degree level.
- Applicants for MSc. PSCM must have studied supply management-related subjects at bachelor’s degree level.
- Applicants for MSc. HRM must study human resources- related courses at bachelor’s degree level.
