UNISA Begins Online Registration for 2023 Application

Undergraduate qualifications include higher certificates, advanced certificates, diplomas, advanced diplomas & degrees.

First-time applicants, returning students or anyone wanting to start a new qualification, must apply for admission.

Applicants who previously applied for admission and were not offered a space or who were offered a space, accepted the offer and did not register, must also apply for admission, as well as students completing a higher certificate or any other programme and who wish to continue with further undergraduate studies.

For Honours degrees and postgraduate diplomas, everyone wanting to start a new qualification must apply for admission, including first-time Unisa applicants, Unisa students changing to a new qualification and/or changing the specialisation of their current qualification, as well as applicants in their final year of an undergraduate qualification who wish to continue with postgraduate studies.

Applications for Master’s and doctoral qualifications for the 2023 academic year will open from 11 September to 14 November 2022, but some exceptions apply.

Everyone wanting to start a new qualification must apply for admission, including: first-time Unisa applicants, Unisa students wanting to apply for a new qualification, students in their final year of a qualification wanting to start a master’s or doctoral qualification, and previously registered master’s and doctoral students who did not register for the 2022 academic year and now wish to continue with their studies.

You may only apply for one qualification at Master’s and doctoral level. It is, therefore, imperative that you ensure that you meet the minimum admission requirements for your qualification of choice before applying for admission.

All master’s and doctoral applications and enquiries must be submitted online.

Applications for Unisa’s Short Learning Programmes (SLPs) for 2023 will open from 1 September 2022 until 14 October 2022.

Unisa’s Short Learning Programmes (SLPs) focus on “just in time” and “just enough” learning to meet a specific learning need identified by individuals, organisations or society at large.

All applications for admission must be submitted online, and admission to a qualification is not automatic.

Applicants who plan to enrol for classes at a Technical Vocational Education and Training (TVET) college under the Unisa-TVET agreement may apply via the relevant TVET college or online through Unisa.

Remember, all applications must be submitted within the stipulated application period.
