What is the primary purpose of a PCCB?

How to Access the PCCB Job Portal in 2023

The PCCB and ZACECA's duties include monitoring public bodies, providing advice to the general public and the business sector, and increasing awareness of corruption-related issues. As part of their third area of accountability, both ACAs are required to look into allegations of corruption.

The current Prevention and Combating of Corruption Act (PCCA) replaced the Prevention of Corruption Act (PCA) in July 2007, renaming the PCB to the "Prevention and Combating of Corruption Bureau" (PCCB).

According to Section 5 of the PCCA, the PCCB is a separate entity.

Act No. 2 ordered the creation of an Anti-Corruption Squad in 1974, making it Tanzania's first anti-corruption organisation.
